Dr. Ralph L. Simpson is a transformational educational leader, author, and sought-after keynote speaker. As the founder of The Simple Factor, he spearheads leadership development with a commitment to amplifying excellence in schools and organizations nationwide. With more than three decades of experience in public education, Dr. Simpson has built a legacy of elevating culture, performance, and people.
A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Simpson began his career in 1991. Quickly distinguishing himself as a dynamic teacher, mentor, he rose to an award-winning administrator within the DeKalb County School District. In 2000, he made history as the first African American principal of Stone Mountain High School. Later, he served as the founding principal of Miller Grove High School, the largest high school in DeKalb County. At Towers High School, his leadership produced remarkable double-digit gains in student achievement.
Dr. Simpson holds a Doctor of Education and is a 2019 graduate of AASA’s Superintendent’s Academy. A certified professional in Trauma and Resilience, he champions Restorative Practices and leads impactful Social Emotional Learning initiatives.
